Disney World lodging suggestions for Grandma, grandpa, two adults(Mom and dad ) and two children ages 4 and 7. We would like to be able to stay up and not go to bed at the same time as the kids.

Hello Linda, and welcome to planDisney. Thank you for stopping by with your question. Multi-generational vacations are some of the most memorable and magical visits there are in my opinion.

Walt Disney World Resort was brought to life from one man's dream. Walt created these parks because he wanted a place where parents and children could play together. This trip looks like it’s going to pan out where parents of parents, and their children will be playing together, and nothing makes this Disney fan happier. During my last visit I met a Grandma and Grandpa on the tram, they were headed to a park to meet their grandchildren and children. I walked with them all the way to the entrance while they talked about their grandchildren in the most wonderful way, once we got close their grandchildren ran from the other side of the walkway to them. It was a beautiful moment and I hope you have a ton of them during your visit.

Staying inside the magic with your family is going to be such a magical experience, but going to sleep when the kids go to sleep isn’t very magical for adults. While you would be well rested, you just won’t be able to have fun with your children talking about their kids after great days inside the parks. There are always a few different options for accommodations with additional living space, these rooms feel like home away from home. They have all of the amenities you would have back home like full kitchen, washer and dryer, separate bathrooms and privacy in your sleeping quarters. I think a 3 bedroom Grand Villa would work perfectly. Some of those resorts that can accommodate you are, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Old Key West Resort, Animal Kingdom Villas, and Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort. My best recommendation, however, would be Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. The Treehouse Villas include 2 queen beds, 1 queen sleeper, 1 bunkbed and a sleeper chair. I love this resort and room type because of the spacious set up. Not only are there separate bedrooms and a living room area, but there also is an outdoor area where you could hang out while the children are in slumberland.

I hope these recommendations lead to your selection for this special summer stay. If you have any questions on these locations or anything else about your visit reach out anytime to planDisney.com and we will be ready to help!

    See ya real soon,

    Jeremy A.
