Hello Jacquelina! It looks like you’re set to arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort on the same date that Santa will make his travels! That’s such a magical place to spend Christmas Eve!
The Walt Disney World Resort is a popular destination at Christmastime! The Disney Parks want to ensure that Guests have an enjoyable visit. The four Disney Parks – Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom – can, at times, reach capacity. The parks that I’ve observed closures occur most during the holiday season are Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and EPCOT on New Year’s Eve.
The Disney Parks will manage attendance to keep the Guest’s experience enjoyable. Follow these tips if you plan on attending any of the parks on high-demand days and want to avoid being denied entry due to capacity closures at the Disney Parks.
First, arrive at the park early and plan on making a day (and night) out of the experience. Once you are in the park, you are in! However, if you enter the park, leave, and then try to return after the park has reached capacity, you could be denied reentry.
If planning a long day in the park, try making a table-service Disney Dining reservation for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. A table-service dining experience is a great way to get off your feet, stay hydrated, and enjoy a delicious meal!
Plan on visiting some experiences where you can sit down for a few minutes. Not only will you be catching some much-needed rest, you’ll have some enjoyable entertainment! These experiences include Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, “it’s a small world,” Haunted Mansion, and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover all at
Magic Kingdom Park.
At
EPCOT, you can rest your feet by enjoying attractions such as The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Soarin’ Around the World, and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros! At
Disney’s Hollywood Studios a visit to the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, Vacation Fun at the Mickey Shorts Theater, and the nighttime show Fantasmic! will help you to get off your feet for some time.
Finally, at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a ride through the rainforest on Na’vi River Journey will give you time to relax. You could also head over to Festival of the Lion King to sing along to some of your favorite songs with favorite characters! And, take the plunge into Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! to relax with some of your underwater friends!
I hope these tips are helpful, Jacquelina! The Disney Parks are busy during the holiday season, but with the right advice, you’ll have a merry time!
Dreams do come true!
