We were at Disney World last September. At that time, we were given Magic Bands to use. Coming this September. May we use the same bands on this trip? We cannot locate our cards that were given also. Therefore, do we need to order new Magic Bands?

    Hi JoAnn,

As you may know, the My Magic+ program, which includes the MagicBands, is still evolving, but as the situation stands right now, you will be able to use your previous MagicBands and, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, you also will be issued new bands.

I've been told by several cast members that the batteries in the bands are expected to last about two years.

I also got my first MagicBand in September and even though I now have seven -- one in each color -- I use my original red one most often.  I guess I'm a little sentimental about it.

As your trip nears, you should see a message in My Disney Experience that you can customize your new MagicBands. Right now, the window to customize the bands ends about a month from your arrival date.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans.

    Enjoy!
