Hi Kimberley,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Celebrating a special holiday at Walt Disney World Resort is always fun! Personally I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort for St. Patrick's day, not only for the delicious cupcakes, but its also my birthday!
According to the
Disney Parks Blog,
Raglan Road will be hosting it's annual St. Patrick's day celebration: Celebrate the Mighty St. Patrick's Festival including live entertainment, dancing, and delicious themed food and specialty beverages. I have taken my daughter to this event in the past, and she absolutely loved the live music and Irish Dance performances. I would recommend heading to the festival during the day, I have also been during the evening and although it was fun for adults, I wouldn't want my daughter to experience this atmosphere just yet.
In the past, I have found several dining locations offer special themed cupcakes for St. Patrick's day that are out of this world! Epcot's
Rose & Crown Pub in the UK Pavilion has offered special menu items on this day as well. Personally, when I am at Walt Disney World Resort with my daughter on St. Patrick's Day, we tend to avoid Epcot. I find it is really busy and most of the guests are there to enjoy some of the alcoholic beverages Around the world, making it tough to navigate with a younger child.
Every year I purchase the St. Patrick's Day pin and sometimes I have found other merchandise throughout the Theme Parks and Disney Springs as well.
