I will be going to disney world with 3 kids and I will be only adult. Was planning on building a light saber but it only allows 2 guests and one has to be 18. They are both11 and one 12. Will they allow me to bring the 2 extra kids?

    Bright Suns Mary!

Thank you for bringing your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel before traveling to a galaxy far far away. The planet of Batuu is a unique one and there will be plenty to do and see while visiting. I sense that the Force is strong with you, what better calling to have than to build your very own Lightsaber? I am sure The Resistance will be thrilled to know that you are joining the cause!

You are correct, Savi’s Workshop is limited to a builder and 1 guest. With that being said, the Gatherers at the workshop are aware there are families traveling with Younglings. I would suggest that when you arrive, that you ask if there is space available for additional guests. The Gatherers’ response may depend on the amount of builders in their workshop, and if those builders all have their 1 guest as well. Since space is so limited and you do have 2 additional guests, I would strongly suggest having a backup plan. If there are still reservations available, and one child is over the age of 14, as well as if your budget permits, you could sign that child up as a builder as well. This would mean that your party now has 2 builders who can each bring in 1 guest.  During my last visit to Batuu, I did not build my own Lightsaber, but my fellow panelist Donyell and her daughters did! I cannot wait to travel back to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so that I can build my own, or maybe even a Droid at Droid Depot!

There is still so much to do with young Padawans when visiting, I recommend signing them up for Jedi Training: Trails of the Temple so that they too can use the force to defeat Star Wars villains. I also recommend grabbing some galactic grub at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Eating food that has been prepared with ingredients from all over the galaxy inside a spacious hanger helps fuel your body to better aid The Resistance. No matter the adventure you experience while there, I am sure it will be a memorable one.

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
