Since we will be at Disney World in June, we are wondering about availability of drinking water. If we bring refillable containers, will we be able to refill them with ice water at any place fountain drinks are sold?

    Hi Jennifer,

I'm a huge water drinker and can't stress enough the importance of staying hydrated on a Walt Disney World vacation, especially in the hot summer months. Water fountains are available throughout the parks, often near the restrooms, but my favorite way to hydrate is with ice water. You can get a free cup of ice water from any counter service restaurant, usually in the large cups that fountain drinks come in. If I have my own bottle with me, I will fill it with the ice water. Honestly, though, I usually drink it so quickly that the cup is just fine.

You also can bring frozen or partially frozen bottles of water with you into the parks to sip as it melts. My Disney Parks Moms Panel pal Mona Leigh always has a frozen bottle of water in her backpack both to sip and to keep her back cooler.

Thanks for your question, Jennifer. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as you plan your June visit. Enjoy!
