Hi Jeffrey!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel - I'm happy to help with your question.
I'm excited to hear you're going to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort on the 4th of July - what fun! I can't imagine a more amazing place to enjoy fireworks on Independence Day than in front of
Cinderella Castle in
Magic Kingdom Park. My family hasn't been able to make it to Walt Disney World for July 4th (yet!), but we love to watch the Disney Parks Blog live stream of the fireworks at home!
While Disney hasn't yet released a schedule for this year's Independence Day activities, we can look at last year's schedule to get an idea of when the fireworks may happen. Last year (2016), on July 3rd and 4th, "Disney's Celebrate America - A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" Fireworks took place at 9:00pm both evenings. I'm sure the 2017 fireworks will most likely follow suit. My advice would be to keep checking the
Walt Disney World website and also the
Disney Parks Blog for updates about Fourth of July plans and activities for the theme parks.
July 4th is typically one of the most crowded days of the year in Magic Kingdom Park. Sometimes, the parks do reach capacity and guests will not be able to enter once the crowd size is at the maximum level. My advice is to arrive early and plan to stay the entire day. In the end, it will be worth it to see those amazing fireworks in person!
I hope this helps with your planning. Have a magical day, and God Bless America! - Diane W.
