Lisa from LA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We will be in Disney World for the 4th of July. We have a dinner reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern around 6:00 p.m. What will the crowds be like in the Magic Kingdom that day? Would it be ok to wait until late afternoon before going to the park?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lisa!

I hope you are excited about a very magical and patriotic visit to the most magical place on earth! Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, the Magic Kingdom fireworks spectacular during the fourth of July holiday alone are worth a visit!

Lisa, major holidays usually attract big crowds to the parks. But as Timon and Pumbaa would say, Hakuna Matata; no need to worry! With good planning, some dining reservations -great choice with Liberty Tree Tavern! I’m sensing a theme here. - and your time saving FastPass+, you’ll have an unforgettable visit!

In rare cases, the parks can hit capacity, and when that occurs, no new guests are able to enter the park. Theres no way of knowing if this will happen during your visit. But to be certain that you will be able to enter, I recommend arriving early. You wouldn’t want to risk it and miss out on your yummy reservation and amazing fireworks that you really don’t want to miss!

I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any additional questions, be sure to stop by and bring those our way. It’s our pleasure to assist you as you plan the most unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

We hope to see ya again real soon!
