Hi, Lauren! You're in for a treat at the Cabins! Staying at the
Cabins at Fort Wilderness is such a fun and unique Disney experience.
The Cabins has complimentary buses that run to all
four theme parks, so you can hop on a bus directly from the resort to whichever park you’re visiting. It’s convenient if you don’t want to drive or deal with parking, and the buses run fairly frequently throughout the day.
If you’re heading to
Magic Kingdom, you have the option to take the boat/ferry instead of the bus, which is really scenic and a fun way to start your park day. From the cabins, the walk to the boat dock can vary depending on exactly which cabin you’re in, but generally it’s about 10–15 minutes. The paths are nicely paved, but keep in mind that some parts of the resort are a bit winding because of the natural layout of the property. The length of the walk also depends on where exactly your cabin is, but overall, it'll take about 15 minutes.
You'll love the boat ride over to the park. The wind blowing and the view of Cinderella Castle in the distance is just breathtaking!
Have a wonderful time, Lauren, and remember that we're here to help with all of your planning. So stop by and see us again.
Toodles,
Korliss
