We are going to Disney World in January for the marathon. In 2013, we will have a 2mo and a 21mo. We'd like to do the 5k, but aren't sure about strollers. Would jogging strollers be best, or would a regular and an umbrella stroller be enough for the pace?

    Hi Charlotte!

I think the 5K would be perfect for you guys!  I know my boys always loved being in their strollers for races, and running around the most magical place on Earth would be the best!

There is a stroller division in the 5K races.  You will begin after all of the runners/walkers.  I think the stroller will depend on what you are used to and what your babies are comfortable in.  The pace would probably be fine in either, but I think a jogging stroller would work best for comfort and ease-of-use.   You are just required to maintain a 16 minute/mile pace, which is mostly a brisk walk.

But, I also realize that it may be hard to pack those as they are very big.  If I were you, I would go for several "practice runs" with both and see what would work best!  If you feel comfortable with the regular strollers, then that will work fine!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
