Hi Mark,
Welcome to planDisney!
After conferring with a Cast Member in Disability Services, I have to say that there is no on-site physical therapy for guests. There are some medical services available at
First Aid facilities in the theme parks.
Offsite urgent care is also available. You may be able to pre-arrange some services with a physical therapist in the Orlando area. Several years ago, we took one of our girls to see a pediatrician that we found in the area while on vacation. Luckily, the office accepted our health insurance.
Also, depending on your resort hotel, you may be able to use the fitness center to do some of your own physical therapy exercises. Just remember to check the current operating hours and make a reservation if reservations for the fitness center are required at the time of your visit. If you have not yet booked a vacation package or
resort hotel, it may be worth considering one that has a fitness center.
If you anticipate having difficulty walking, pay special attention to the
services for guests with mobility disabilities and consider
renting a wheelchair or electric conveyance vehicle (ECV). On one visit, my husband was having problems with his knee, but he preferred to walk and did not rent a wheelchair or ECV. So, we stopped by Guest Relations and registered for
Disability Access Service. This service was a lifesaver on that trip because it greatly reduced his wait time in attraction lines!
Mark, although we may not have those physical therapy services on-property, I trust that, if needed, you will be able to find other accommodations that will make your stay a little easier!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
