Welcome to planDisney, Donald!
Thanks for choosing to be our Guest and for asking such a good question. You'll be pleased to know that you never have to take a vacation from health and fitness at Walt Disney World. Besides the fact that the average Guest walks between 7-10 miles per day when visiting a theme park, there are also a number of other ways to stay in shape.
A number of
Disney Resorts have fitness centers for Guests. Here is a current list of hotels that have fitness centers:
- Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
- Disney's BoardWalk Inn
- Disney's Saratoga Springs
- Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney's Wilderness Lodge
- Disney's Riviera Resort
- Disney's Old Key West Resort
- Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney's Contemporary Resort
- Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
The fitness centers at each hotel are limited to Guests staying at that particular hotel. One exception to this rule is for Guests staying at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Since this hotel doesn't have a fitness center, Guests are welcome to use the one at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Donald, you might be interested to know that there are also jogging trails at many of the Disney Resorts. Not only that, but Guests can go swimming, play golf, play tennis, go canoeing and kayaking, go biking, or play volleyball, or basketball.
I'm sure you'll come back from your vacation feeling like Hercules.
I hope that's helpful, Donald. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
Mike
