Matt Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hi - we have a Disney World holiday booked for October so our window for dining reservations is about to open. We don’t have a 17-digit code to link our trip to our MDE app - will we need one? Or can we book Disney Dining without it? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Matt! I am so happy you stopped by.

All guests may make dining reservations 180 days in advance; however, guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel are able to book dining reservations for their entire length of stay 180-days from their arrival date. Guests not staying on-site can only make reservations one day at a time, 180-days in advance of the date that they intend to dine.

Because you will want to book reservations for your entire trip at the same time, I would recommend that you go ahead and link your hotel stay on your My Disney Experience account. The reservation confirmation code should be listed on the email that you received with your hotel confirmation. If you have trouble finding your confirmation code, simply call 0800 16 90 749, and they will be able to find it for you. If you booked through a third party or travel agent, you will need to contact the person who booked your reservation and they will be able to get the number for you.

Once you have your confirmation number, linking your hotel reservation is easy! Log into your My Disney Experience account, or create an account, and click on "My Plans" and then hover over the "Resort Hotel." Once your mouse is hovered over the image of a resort, you will see an option to "Link a Reservation." From there, all you need to do is to enter the last name of the reservation holder and the confirmation number.

Don't forget that one of the best perks of staying on-site at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is the ability to make your FastPass+ selections 60-days from your arrival date! Matt, you will need to make sure you have both your hotel and theme park tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account in order to make those selections.

I hope that this helped, Matt. Please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help as you plan your magical holiday!

    See you real soon!
