I am going to Disney World first week of Feb.  Is this a good time to go and how is the weather?  Does it get very cold at night or just cool?  Thanks.

    Hi Ashly,

I'm guessing that you know that I would be hard pressed to come up with a "bad" time to plan a Disney trip!  While it's never possible to predict the weather with complete certainty for a given week, I can tell you that the averages for February have highs in he 70s and lows in the 50s.  I'm from the Northeast, so for me, these February temperatures are downright balmy, and a pleasure to travel in!  I've visited Disney during the first week of February (before the President's Day holiday) and was very happy with the moderate crowds and temperatures.  We had very reasonable wait times on the attractions, and had an easy time securing the advanced dining reservations we were interested in.  We dressed in layers (sweatshirts/light jackets over jeans and t-shirts) and were taking off our jackets by mid to late morning.  It started to get cool (but not cold) again after the sun went down, so we were sure to pack jackets for heading to the parks or out to dinner in the evening as well.

The pools at the Disney resorts are heated, and the week we were there in February had two afternoons where the highs approached 80, and we were able to go for a swim.

    Have a wonderful trip!
