Hello, we’re going to Disney world for the first time in September, and I ordered magic bands for the adults in our group, not the kids. Can I put the childrens’ passes on my magic band, or will I have to carry cards? They are 4 and 6. Thanks

    Hello Jasmine,

It's wonderful to see you here at planDisney. Thanks for your question!

I can imagine you're counting down the days until your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. How exciting for you!

When it comes to what to use for your theme park entry with your valid theme park admission, you have options that are convenient for you. You can use MagicBands, theme park admission ticket cards (the physical credit-card-size card you would pick up from Guest Relations), a Key to the World card (the physical credit-card-size card you would pick up from the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel), or the Disney MagicMobile Service. You also have the flexibility to use the different options together depending on what's convenient and when. Want to use your MagicBand for theme park entry one day and use an admission ticket card or the Disney MagicMobile Service another day? You can do that.

If you're choosing to use a MagicBand, you'll want to know that each Guest would require their own MagicBand linked to their own valid theme park admission. In your case, you would either want to have a MagicBand for each of your children, or use their individual theme park admission ticket cards.

Another convenient option for you could be to use the Disney MagicMobile Service to create a Disney MagicMobile pass for each of your children using your My Disney Experience mobile app and your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android phone with Google Pay. When you enter a theme park, you would simply hold up your mobile device with their Disney MagicMobile passes that you set up, and then the access point at the theme park entry reads the device. This could be a great option for you if you think that having your children wear MagicBands, or having you carry their MagicBands, isn't the way you want to go.

I think no matter how you choose to enter the theme parks, you're sure to enjoy all the magic that awaits you.

Jasmine, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
