hi we're going to disney world in a few months and was wondering how do i link the memory maker with others in my group and do we all need a magic band to use it? thanks

    Hi Brisa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to be in the midst of planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

First, make sure that you have Memory Maker linked in your My Disney Experience account. Next, be sure that you have connected to other members of your group through the My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. Once you connect with other members of your party who have a My Disney Experience account, be sure to share all My Disney PhotoPass Photos. When I travel with a group, I also share All My Plans so that everyone can keep track of advanced dining reservations, FastPass+ selections and scheduled tours.

Although you do not all need MagicBands, you will need to scan a MagicBand, Admission Card, Memory Maker Card, Annual Pass, or PhotoPass Card with each PhotoPass photographer so that the photos link to your My Disney Experience account. Since I am always the primary manager of the Memory Maker, I scan my MagicBand after we take each photo. In the parks, I also periodically check My Photos in My Disney Experience to make sure all photos are automatically linking to my account. If I notice missing photos, I stop by a PhotoPass area or contact Disney PhotoPass Services to locate the picture(s). They have always been able to find our missing photos if I give them the location, general time frame in which the picture was taken, and the date. It also helps if you can describe the clothing folks in your party were wearing when taking the photo!

Remember that there are Disney PhotoPass photographers at select dining locations as well. We adore our photos from 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table. When our girls joined Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple and had a princess makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - Magic Kingdom, those photos also were included in our Memory Maker. Always double-check the terms and conditions of your Memory Maker just before your trip to be sure that you understand what is included at the time of your visit. Finally, be sure to review the guidelines for sharing and downloading PhotoPass photos.

Brisa, it can be challenging at times to get everybody in the photo. Sending pixie dust your way trusting that you will leave with some picture-perfect memories!

    Magic and memories,
