Hi Brenda and welcome to
planDisney! While they say the early bird catches the worm, the night owl gets to have all the fun at Walt Disney World! And the nights don’t have to end after nighttime spectaculars like
Happily Ever After and
Luminous The Symphony of Us. With
extended evening theme park hours, you can have even more time for your favorite attractions. I once challenged myself to see how many rides I could do during extended evening hours at Magic Kingdom. I was able to do 7 rides, including
Tron Lightcycle Run and
Space Mountain. Now let’s race across the Grid and get you your answer!
Brenda, you can find the specific dates, times, and which theme parks will have extended evening theme park hours on the
Hours & Events Calendar. Most times of the year, they are held at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, but you’ll occasionally see extended evening hours offered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As a reminder, you’ll need to be a guest of a
Disney Deluxe Resort,
Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, or other select hotels in order to enjoy this benefit.
Currently, the Hours & Events Calendar only has dates and times through April 2026. I would check back as more dates gets released to see if extended evening hours are offered during your stay. While currently it looks like extended evening hours are generally held on Monday and Wednesday nights, they are always subject to change. So don’t fret!
Brenda, don’t forget that you’ll have two other great benefits as a Disney Resort hotel guest this summer. First, you’ll have access to
early theme park entry for the duration of your stay, including both check-in and check-out days. I love taking advantage of this benefit and you’ll often find me rope dropping my favorite attraction
Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom. Second, as a Disney Resort hotel guest you’re also entitled to a
free water park admission on your check-in day. This may be one worth taking advantage of during what’s sure to be a hot and humid July!
Brenda, I hope you find this information helpful as you plan out your summer vacation at Walt Disney World. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact
me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
