We have been to Disney World every year since we got married 14 years ago. We now have a two year old and are looking for a resort with a kiddie pool and play ground area. This will be his first time going to Disney World with us. Any suggestions?

    Hi Wendy!

My recommendation would be the Coronado Springs Resort. We stayed there on our last trip when my daughter was 2 1/2. They have an amazing playground that she absolutely loved! In fact, I honestly think it was one of her favorite parts of the trip.

The playground is located next to the "Dig Site" main pool. The Dig Site offers the feature pool with a huge pyramid and water slide, a kiddie pool, arcade, playground and two pretty big sandboxes. During the day, there is a cart located by the pool bar that sells sand toys like buckets and shovels. The playground has swings, a long snake slide and some play equipment for smaller children that would be perfect for your son.

We spent some time at the playground and sandboxes every day. I really think that this is one of the very best playgrounds at any of the Disney resorts. I would definitely stay at Coronado Springs again so that my kids could play here.

The Coronado also has some recently refurbished rooms that I had the chance to stay in a few weeks ago, and they are very nice!
