We are going to Disney World at the end of the month with my 22 month old son. He is absolutely obsessed with Mickey. Although I've been to Disney several times, I've never seen Fanatasmic so I was wondering what you thought about taking my son to see it

    Hello, Roxanne!

Depending on the personality of your son, he may or may not be ready for Fantasmic.

Because the premise of the show is Sorcerer Mickey battling many of the classic Disney bad guys (and gals), it can get a little dark at times.  However, if your son responds well to your reassurances (i.e. "Wow!  That's a really big snake!  I'll bet Sorcerer Mickey can beat him, though!) then you might be just fine.
My own son was about that age when we first saw the show, and he was okay with it, with a little coaching through what might have been scary.

I would do a search on YouTube, to be honest, to view others' postings of the show and decide based on what you see and what you know about your son.  Again, some little ones are just fine with a little antagonist in front of them, some...not so much.  There's surely nothing as scary as some of the more intense Disney scenes, but there are some darker moments of which you'll want to be aware.

Bottom line?  Watch some footage and consider how your little one will react.  The fact that he LOVES Mickey might be just the key for him to watch his own personal favorite become a hero that very night!

Regardless of your decision, I'm sure that you'll have a magical vacation in Walt Disney World with your little on!  Enjoy!
