We will be going to Disney World the end of May. I have never used a Fastpass before. Can you use it to save a spot for a parade? Would it be better to save the Fastpasses for earlier in the day on rides? What is the best way to plan Fastpass options?

    Hi Karen,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Fast Pass+ is simply spectacular! My family loves planning our Fast Pass+ reservations before our reservation window opens. Since we stay on property, when we reach 60 days prior to our trip, I make our Fast Pass+ reservations.

Yes, you can use a Fast Pass for some parades or fireworks shows. The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, and Fantasmic! offer Fast Pass+.

We prefer to use our first three Fast Pass+ reservations earlier in the day. Or, we arrive at the park late and use them all later in the day. If we plan to be at the park all day, we use them early in the day then we start using our "rolling" Fast Pass+. Once you have used your first three Fast Passes, you can make another Fast Pass+ reservation on your mobile device or at a park kiosk.

I suggest that you decide which rides you want to use for your Fast Pass+ reservations. Since guests must choose between Soarin' and Test Track at Epcot, we typically use a Fast Pass for Test Track and jump in the stand-by line for Soarin' during Extra Magic Hours.

Once you make your initial Fast Pass+ reservations, you may modify times if other times are available.

If you download the My Disney Experience mobile app, you can keep track of all of your Fast Pass+ and dining reservations while in the park.

    Happy planning!
