While at Disney world if we want to eat at a restaurant I heard we have to make reservations 180 days in advanced, we can't just pop in without a reservation? Is this correct? I

Hi, Dawn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Walt Disney World Resort restaurants are categorized into either Quick-Service restaurants or Table-Service restaurants. Quick-Service restaurants do not accept reservations with the exception of Be Our Guest Restaurant which is a Quick-Service restaurant for lunch (breakfast service is currently being tested) and a Table-Service restaurant for dinner - you are able to make reservations for both. Reservations for Table-Service restaurants are very strongly recommended, and can be made 180 days in advance. Some of the most popular restaurants do fill up, and you do not want to be using valuable vacation time looking for an open table at the very last minute.

Before your 180 day mark, view Table-Service restaurants and their menus online to get an idea of places that you and your family would like to try and start making a list for yourself. List more restaurants than you may need just in case a couple of your selections are already full.

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
