I am going to be at Disney World for Easter. What are some of the unique activities and experiences at the resorts and parks during this time?

Hi Caitlin! Welcome to planDisney! It's always great to hear from a fellow resident of the Garden State.

Easter is such a wonderful time of year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. The weather is usually warm but not too hot and there are usually a lot of fun activities happening around the resort!

So while it is not specifically an Easter-time experience, you have to check out the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival with its beautiful topiaries and Garden Rocks Concert Series. This festival runs from March 1, 2023, to July 5, 2023. Since I'm very food-motivated, the first thing I think of when it comes to this festival is the Outdoor Kitchens. So many unique options sprout up around the park and a day could easily be dedicated to sampling the variety of options. Last year, my favorite booth was the one in France. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements of this year's booths and menus!

Since all of the offerings have not yet been announced for the 2023 Easter season, I suggest following along with the Disney Parks Blog for announcements on this as well. But while you wait, you can check out this Food Guide to last year's season to get a taste of what might be offered this year. You can also check out the Easter Egg Displays that the culinary cast created for some of the resorts last year, especially Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! If only you were able to take one of these masterpieces home and eat it on the plane! Please note that past offerings are not guaranteed to be available again in the future.

Since this is usually a busy time at the resort, be sure to make a list of advanced dining reservations that you'd like to make. These are made available 60 days before your visit at 6:00 AM EST. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you will be able to make dining reservations for the length of your stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before your arrival date. My biggest tip would be to make reservations for the most popular restaurants toward the end of your trip to have the best chance of getting those reservations! This is especially true for SPACE 220 in EPCOT and Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park.

    I told you I was very food-motivated!

Caitlin, I hope you have a wonderful Easter at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Hoppy Spring,
    Matt
