Does Disney World do an early New Years Eve ball drop (or something similar) for kids?

Hello Susan, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

The holidays are always a special time at the Walt Disney World Resort. I cannot think of a better place to ring in the new year. Unfortunately, there are no “early” celebrations for kids going on that I know of. As a child growing up, New Year’s Eve was the one night out of there year that I did not have a bedtime.

The main celebration will be in the Magic Kingdom with the best fireworks display you have ever seen. Disney Springs will have a line up of free live performances to enjoy throughout the night. I am certain there will be celebrations all through the Walt Disney World Resort, but the details have not been posted yet. I would recommend keeping an Ear on the Disney Parks Blog for a future announcement of dining events and park celebrations.

    Happy New Year,
