Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Lisa!
I love that you are counting down the days! The summer months in Orlando are hot but not unbearable if you plan right. Here's what I'd suggest:
* Wear light colors as they help reflect the heat. Dark colors absorb the heat.
* Wear clothes made out of light, breathable materials. While Cotton is lightweight, it absorbs moisture so it will weigh you down when you sweat. Being a runner, I've found that moisture-wicking fabrics that are used in a lot of the sports clothing lines work great in the parks. They are lightweight, breathe and dry quickly.
* We avoid tank tops and spaghetti straps during the day - protect your shoulders.
* Pack sunglasses, hats and visors to protect your head, ears and face.
* Sunscreen - apply and reapply often.
* Moisturizing lotion and Aloe. You'll need to take care of your skin after being in the sun and heat all day.
* Comfortable shoes. Make sure you also pack a pair of sandals or flip flops to wear if its raining.
* Ponchos - get the lightweight kind with vents in them or you'll end up roasting like a turkey in a basting bag.
* A lightweight jacket or sweater in case you get cool in a restaurant.
* Small hand held fans.
* Refillable water bottles so you can refill at water fountains without waiting in line for water. The lines are longer in the summer to buy water.
* You're probably going to change clothes more often so bring more clothes or be prepared to do laundry.
I answered a question for another Guest giving him some
