I have been to Disney World before during the Christmas Holiday. We would like to start planning for our trip in 2014 and our school vacation falls during the Easter 2014 Holiday. Can someone tell me how the crowds compare during Easter vs Christmas.

    Hello Annette,

It's great that you are already planning for next year! Based on the past, crowd levels are typically higher during the Christmas holiday. That's not to say that it's not busy during the typical Spring Break/ Easter holiday.

One of my friends was at Walt Disney World this past Easter break and he said they had to close Magic Kingdom due to the crowd levels. This is probably due to the response to the New Fantasyland expansion and everyone wanting to visit. I'd like to say that maybe next year the crowds may be a bit smaller but hopefully by that time the Seven Dwarf's Mine train would be open. So, the crowds may not diminish quite so much next year.

I'd say, if I had to pick one or the other, I would go with Christmas... It's just so magical! Thank you so much for asking the Moms Panel! If you have additional questions, we are always here to help!
