I am going to Disney World in December with my two kids and parents. We want to stay in one room or get connecting rooms. Can you recommend the best hotel that has suites/connecting rooms and has great amenities for kids and is walkable to/from the parks

    Hi Tracie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! I’ve been lucky enough to visit Walt Disney World Resort with my little guy and my parents and the memories we made during those trips have always been magical. What’s not to love about being able to experience A Grand Adventure, as a family?

When I was reading your question, the first Walt Disney World Resort hotel that came to mind was Disney’s Beach Club Resort. While there are no Walt Disney World Resort hotels that are walking distance to all four Theme Parks, the Beach Club is walking distance to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway to Epcot. Plus, that resort has probably the coolest and most unique pool in Walt Disney World Resort: the sand bottomed Stormalong Bay. I believe connecting rooms are available at this Resort, but you can also check out its Deluxe Villa counterpart, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, if you’d like more room to spread out. A 2 Bedroom Villa, with its full kitchen, two bathrooms and washer/dryer facilities would be an absolutely wonderful option for you and your family.

An alternative, especially if you want to spend a little less on your accommodations, would be a Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The Big Blue Pool is a ton of fun, and the larger-than-life icons from The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Little Mermaid definitely fit the “kid friendly” bill. Even though that Resort isn’t walking distance from any Theme Parks, Disney’s Complimentary Resort Transportation means that you’re never far from the fun. The efficient and reliable bus transportation from this Resort will have you on your way in no time!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re here to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
