Hello Moms! We will be going to Disney World in December. Is the Candlelight Procession a daily event? If so, is there an additional cost? I also read there is a dining package associated with it. Does the Disney Dining plan cover it? Thanks!!!!

    Hi Mark,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

Epcot’s Candlelight Processional is truly one of the most awe-inspiring events at Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays. You’ll be happy to know that it’s a daily part of the Holidays Around the World at Epcot, usually as of Thanksgiving (or thereabouts). The celebrity narrators do change every few days, so make sure to check the schedule when it’s released so that you don’t miss the chance to see one of your favourite celebrities telling the original “tale as old as time”, the story of the Nativity!

There has traditionally been a Candlelight Processional Dinner Package available at most Epcot restaurants. I highly recommend booking this dining package if you want to see the show on a specific day as seats tend to fill up VERY fast for all of the day’s presentations of the Candlelight Processional (usually around 3 shows per day). In previous years, Guests were able to use 2 Table Service entitlements of their Disney Dining Plan for this Package and I don’t have any reason to doubt that this won’t be the case again in 2016.

The Disney Parks Blog will be the first place that will announce this year’s lineup of celebrity narrators and when Dining Packages will be released, so keep checking there in the next few weeks for an announcement about this year’s Candlelight Processional.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
