Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie!
You must be so excited for your upcoming trip to
Walt Disney World! I can tell you that if you're looking for gluten free dining, WDW will become your favorite place in the world!
First, take a look at all of the tips on
Special Dietary Requests in Walt Disney World. There, you'll find information on alternative dining options throughout the parks and Disney Springs. Should your gluten free diet be due to an allergy, ask for an allergy-friendly menu, if available, or ask your server upon arrival to help you navigate the existing menu.
For unofficial tips on all things gluten-free at WDW, head to AllEars.Net, and enter "gluten free 2016" into the search bar; this will bring up a list of posts detailing options throughout WDW.
Some specialty favorites include Disney's Animal Kingdom Park's
Terra Treats, where you'll find GF bagels, muffins, doughnuts, cookies, cupcakes and beer! Magic Kingdom's Aloha Isle features the ever-popular Dole Whip (GF), a must-try if you've yet to sample it.
Disney Springs offers guests Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza's GF crust, Amorette's Patisserie creates gluten-free macarons and signature cakes, Sprinkles features GF cupcakes and cookies and, of course, Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC offers a gluten-free menu daily.
As you tour each park, you'll find favorite options that you've likely learned are GF, including ice cream, fries, hummus and veggies as well as fruit and cheese combos, too. When in doubt, though, ask your server which options will be best for you.
Send more questions as you plan, Katie; we love to help!
