We are going to Disney world in August and want to go to Blizard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. We are staying at Pop Century. How would we get there on Disney transportation please?

Hi Jessica! Welcome back to planDisney. I can feel the excitement for your upcoming Disney visit. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are perfect spots for cooling off during a sunny Florida summer!

Since you’re staying at Pop Century, here’s how you’ll make your way to the water parks with Disney transportation. To get to Blizzard Beach, you’ll first hop on a Disney bus from your resort, but here’s the twist—there isn’t a direct route from Pop Century to Blizzard Beach. No worries though! You’ll take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and from there, catch another bus that will whisk you away to the water park. The two parks are only about two miles apart, so you’ll be splashing in the waves in no time!

Typhoon Lagoon has a similar setup. You’ll need to hop on the bus at Pop Century, head to a nearby park, and transfer to a second bus to reach the water park. Just remember that buses run regularly throughout the day, so you won’t have to wait long before you’re on your way to the fun.

Whenever you're needing step-by-step directions during your visit, your My Disney Experience app will be your BFF! Simply use the search tool, type in your destination, click directions and you'll get Disney transportation options with time estimates for your travels.

If you're looking to add a little extra magic to your trip, you could also consider booking a Minnie Van. You can book one directly through the Lyft app, and it will take you straight to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon without any transfers. Plus, Minnie Vans come with that signature Disney charm, making your ride even more fun.

Whether you take the bus or ride in a Minnie Van, you’ll be set for a day filled with water slides, wave pools, and endless fun. I hope you have an amazing time, and don’t forget your sunscreen and some extra pixie dust for the ride!

Let me know if you need anything else as you get ready for your trip. Can't wait for you to dive into all that Disney magic!
