Hi Abigail,
I think that you have the right idea by planning a two-week trip. This will give you plenty of time for both days in the theme parks as well as days when you can simply relax at your resort, or possibly take in other aspects of Walt Disney World such as Disney Springs. Since you will have so much time and be able to spend some good quality time at your resort, I suggest that you stay at a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel. These offer amazing themes at a variety of price points, and all include great dining options. You will also find wonderful pool areas at which to relax on your non-park days.
When you do head into the Disney theme parks, be sure to take advantage of
Rider Switch Service. It sounds like you will have at least two adults in your traveling party. With Disney's Rider Switch Service, you will be able to have your older child experience attractions that the little one cannot, while offering both adults in the party the opportunity to do so as well. Also, do take advantage of the
Baby Care Centers located at each Walt Disney World theme park. These centers offer a great place to feed or change your little one, or simply to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks.
Also consider splitting up your party a bit during the day. Of course you will want family together time; however, if your little one still naps, sending that child back to the resort to take a break with one adult while your older child stays in a theme park with another adult could be a good idea. This way you ensure that the little one gets their rest, and the older one gets some special time with the adults in the party.
Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Abigail!
