We will be in Disney World August 14th. We have the basic dining plan. We have 3 kids 5,7,and 12. What would you recommend for saving money on drinks? I know it will be hot, so we will need more drinks than our one snack will give us. We are flying.

I'm a big proponent of water as a staple beverage, Liss.  It's not only economical, but also the best thirst quencher around!  You might consider ordering a case or two of water from one of the grocery delivery services in Orlando and having it delivered to your resort room.  If your kids aren't big on the taste (or lack thereof) of water, you might bring along some of those flavor packets (I think Crystal Light makes them) to add to bottles of water.  Those do add a significant amount of sugar to one's diet, though, so water really is your best bet!  I hope that helps.

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
