We will be at Disney World in April. Do they have trusted childcare or activities available if my fiancee and I want to explore for a few hours without the kids? Kids ages are 11 and 12. We are staying off-site too. Thanks!

    Hi Karen,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

There are three Children’s Activity Centers available to guests, and you can make reservations even if you are staying off-property. The centers provide fun, entertaining, and educational activities for children age 3-12, so your kids can explore while you go out and about to explore and enjoy as well.

The Children’s Activity Centers are Sandcastle Club at Disney's Beach Club Resort near Epcot, Simba's Cubhouse at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Lilo's Playhouse at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort near Magic Kingdom Park.

There are some important "know before you go" tips for guests to consider. For example, children must be fully potty-trained and no pull-ups are allowed. Check out the Activity Center pages for pricing details and more information.

Karen, because you are planning your visit in April, these Children Activity Centers can be an option. The Children’s Activity Centers will have their last day of operation on July 31. The three Children’s Activity Centers were drawing fewer guests in recent years and will be closing effective August 1.

You can make reservations by calling (407) 939-3463 or (407) WDW-DINE.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
