Hello Elizabeth,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. If you ask me, there is never a bad time to visit Walt Disney World, but spring has to be one of my favorite times.
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom, and the weather is usually just the perfect temperature to enjoy a swimming break during the day.
Having the
Park Hopper Option will give you the flexibility to go to multiple parks during the day and revisit your favorites. You will still need to make a reservation for the FIRST park you plan to visit each day. At 2:00 PM, or whenever park hopping begins for the day, you can head to any other park throughout Walt Disney World, no reservations required.
You do need to make sure you check into your first park of the day. So, for example, you can't make a morning reservation at
Disney's Animal Kingdom, decide to skip it and sleep in and then head to
Magic Kingdom. On the flip side, it doesn't matter how long you stay at your first park, so you could certainly sleep in, head to Animal Kingdom at noon and then hop over to Magic Kingdom. Hopefully that makes sense.
As you probably know, the Park Hopping Option doesn't limit you to two parks. You can visit multiple parks throughout the day. In fact, you could visit all four parks in one day if you were feeling really ambitious. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel on
Disney's BoardWalk you may choose to get an early start at Animal Kingdom, head back to your resort for a midday break, grab dinner at
Le Cellier Steakhouse or
Space 220 Restaurant in EPCOT, and then finish the evening at
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
Diane
