Does Disney World do anything special on New Years Eve?

    Hi Mia,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

Visiting Walt Disney World Resort over New Year’s Eve is definitely a dream of mine. Although it can be an extremely crowded time of the year in the Theme Parks, there are so many special events that, with a bit of planning, I can’t think of a better place to ring in the new year!

Last year, the Disney Parks Blog highlighted all of the fun fireworks displays that were being offered at Walt Disney World Resort on New Year's Eve and, as you can see, there certainly were a lot of choices. While we still don’t know whether all of these events will be returning this year, that list should give you an idea of what kinds of shows are offered and their timing.

Don’t forget that the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are filled with other special experiences, which typically continue until at least January 2nd. Again, while we don’t know what will be offered this year, last year’s events should give you a pretty good idea about what’s to come.

I hope my answer helps you plan your vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
