We are Disney World Annual Passholders and are looking to visit Disneyland. Do we need to purchase tickets? If not, are there any discounts as annual passholders?

Welcome to planDisney, Elena. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us. I am so glad to hear that you are Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders. I'm even more excited to hear that you are thinking about visiting the Disneyland Resort.

While there are some similarities between the two resorts, there are also quite a few differences. Both a valid theme park ticket and a valid theme park reservation are required to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. If you purchase your theme park ticket at the Disneyland site or in the Disneyland app, you will be prompted to select your visit dates which will create your theme park reservations.

Unfortunately, there aren't any discounts specifically for Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders. I recommend checking the Offers & Discounts page to see if there are any offers that you might qualify for. If your visit dates are flexible, there is a 3-Day Disneyland Ticket Offer that will be available starting May 29th. These tickets are valid for visits between June 10th through September 26th. There are also hotel offers for savings when staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel (with certain stay requirements).

You will be visiting during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, one of my favorite times of the year to visit. There's nothing quite like it. The resort looks gourd-geous in its fall best and nothing makes me happier than seeing the giant Mickey pumpkin when you first enter Disneyland Park. Be sure to download the Disneyland app for your visit and check out the planDisney podcast where my pals Al and Tishra share their best tips and advice for first-time visitors.

Elena, I hope this helps and hope that you will be making a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth this year. Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan - even feel free to ask me directly. Until then, I wish you happy planning!
