We are going to Disney World for our anniversary. Can you recommend a good place to eat? We aren't looking for the typical quiet romantic restaurant. We will have young children with us. Any fun (family-friendly) places to dine?

Fun places to eat at Walt Disney World?  Hmmm....does Mickey like cheese? ;)

Your family has plenty of options for celebrating your special occasion.  For instance, Coral Reef (at Epcot) is fun in the sense that a giant aquarium is incorporated into the restaurant.  If you enjoy seafood, this might be a great choice.  Your children would likely enjoy the scenery while you eat!  There is also the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, but only book this one if you're completely sure about that not wanting a 'typical, quiet' restaurant thing.  The Whispering Canyon is a ton of fun for families, but it is also super loud.  Teppan Edo, (also at Epcot) is another fun choice.  My kids enjoy watching their meals be prepared right in front of them.  It's also a safe bet for picky eaters (in spite of being a Japanese restaurant) because you can order some very familiar foods.  Last, but far from least, is the Hoop Dee Doo at Fort Wilderness.  It's a popular (deservingly so) event that is great fun for the whole family.  Not to mention they make a big deal out of both birthdays and anniversaries.  Might be perfect for the occasion!

And, not to worry; your children will fit in quite nicely at all four of these restaurants.  Have a great trip.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
