Hi Esther,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for trusting us with your questions for this special upcoming sailing with
Disney Cruise Line; I’m so glad to see our advice has been helpful to you in making your plans. These Magic at Sea sailings will be incredible, and I’m so glad you can experience the beautiful
Disney Wonder from your home country of
Australia.
You are as welcome as can be to reserve additional time for your little one in the
“it’s a small world Nursery” once onboard, in addition to booking some time in advance when your
activity booking window opens. You may visit the nursery during Open House Hours on embarkation day; these special hours allow adults to visit the facility, have your questions answered, and sign up for additional care time during your cruise. Be sure to consult your handy
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you flip to
"onboard mode" to confirm these hours that first day. You may also stop by anytime throughout your sailing to inquire about availability.
There is a fee for these childcare services for little ones under three years old who are eligible for nursery care. Cancellations of your reserved time may be made without penalty four hours or more before your reservation time. No-shows will be charged the full cost of planned care, and cancellations less than four hours in advance will be charged half of the planned cost.
I hope you have some special activities planned during the hours of your anticipated nursery care, Esther.
Adults-exclusive dining at Palo is always a must-do for me and my husband on the Disney Wonder. We enjoyed brunch there this summer in Alaska, and our personalized service and savory meal was such a relaxing time together. We also enjoy the many
beverage seminars offered onboard, so if this suits your style I hope you can find time to align childcare with a special tasting. The Cast Members leading these sessions are so passionate and knowledgeable; we also enjoy connecting with other Guests onboard during these experiences.
I hope this helps you know what to expect once onboard for securing additional childcare hours in the adorable “it’s a small world Nursery”. Your little one will be in the best of care, and hopefully you can plan some special activities or just take time to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the sea during this time.
Please come back and “sea” us with any additional questions you have as this magical voyage approaches.
Wishing you a magical cruise,
Amy
