Ahoy Michael!
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’re ready to set sail on a
WONDER-ful family vacation very soon! I’m glad you stopped by with a great question about cruising with your little ones.
Michael, one of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line vacations are that there are fantastic spaces for families to enjoy together as well as specially designed areas for each age group. I’m happy to share that not only can little ones nap while visiting
“it’s a small world” nursery!, but it’s actually one of my favorite recommendations to share with parents! When my oldest was just 17 months old, we sailed on our very first Disney Cruise and reserved time on each of our “at sea” days during his normal nap time. We dropped him off with the wonderful youth counselors where he enjoyed some playtime and a restful nap. Meanwhile, my husband and I had a chance to relax in some of the adult-exclusive areas of the ship, such as the
Quiet Cove Pool. It’s also the perfect time to
visit the spa or
reserve a beverage seminar.
As a reminder, space is limited in the nursery so you may want to
make reservations before you set sail. While you’re limited to a certain number of hours you can book ahead of your vacation, you can always stop by the nursery on embarkation day or at any time during your cruise to check for additional reservation times. Hours for the nursery will be available to view in your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.
Michael, I hope that you and your family enjoy making many magical memories at sea! If you have any other questions, please feel free to
write me back or visit any of my panelist pals here at planDisney!
Bon Voyage!
Kristi
