Ahoy there, Amanda! Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so excited for you and your crew to be embarking on a Disney Cruise Line vacation this December - and on my favorite ship, the
Disney Wonder, too!
As you already know, linking your reservations allows you and your fellow staterooms to plan more easily with one another! From
Port Adventures and
Onboard Activities to
Adult Exclusive Dining and more, you've taken the planDrew-approved approach and made for smooth sailing on that front!
When it comes to your dining rotations and seating assignments, linking staterooms doesn't necessarily mean that you will be seated together in the dining rooms, but it does let the Disney Cruise Line crew know that your party is traveling together. When my extended family cruises together, we tend to use dinner to come together after our days spend all over the ship experiencing everything that's included in a Disney Cruise Line vacation. If your parents are hoping to sail in their own direction - in the dining room at least, haha - my suggestion would be to
reach out to a crew member either by email or phone to make this request.
Now, not all requests of this nature are guaranteed, but depending on the number of Guests on your sailing, they may just be in luck! In any case, if they are interested in dining separately on a completely different rotation than the rest of your crew, they can make that request as well either pre-cruise or once onboard. Remember, your Key to the World Cards will have your dining rotation printed on the, so you can check to see if your requests were granted!
I hope that helps you and your crew make a few navigational adjustments, Amanda! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as your sail date gets closer, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
Andrew
