Ahoy, Brienne! Welcome to planDisney and welcome aboard
Disney Cruise Line. You are in for memories of a lifetime with your Alaskan Cruise. It is an American safari! We went two years ago, and my kids still talk about it frequently - their favorite vacation ever.
While I love partying like a buccaneer with Pirate Night, there is something extra special about enjoying the
Frozen Deck Party with Alaska as a backdrop.
Hoo-hoo! It's a big summer blowout! On your cruise, there will be dancing, there will be light at the Freezing the Night Away party on Friday, the day you are in Juneau.
This summer celebration of ice and family begins with your dinner. The restaurants feature a Nordic-inspired menu, with many offerings named for your favorite characters from Arendelle. There'll be magic, there'll be fun with the deck party to top off the evening. This is the only deck party planned for your cruise, but there is so much more fun on board.
Your cruise will also feature a formal night on Tuesday, your first day at sea, and a semi-formal night on Saturday. While you won't know the schedule of shows until you board the ship, the Disney Wonder is home to
The Golden Mickeys,
Disney Dreams – An Enchanted Classic and
Frozen, A Musical Spectacular. You can see each date on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once on board.
Dawes Glacier Day has traditionally been the day Captains Mickey and Minnie and their Fab Friends have been known to appear dressed for their Alaskan adventure. Be sure to check the Navigator app for Character Greetings.
This itinerary is amazing, and Disney usually has amazing naturalists onboard who offer so much information and insight into what surrounds you on this cruise. When I came back from the first lecture, which discussed whale "songs of summer" and bubble cyclones, my family followed me to every other session available. We learned so much!
I hope your trip to Alaska fills you with wonder! If you have any other questions, please cruise back by
planDisney.
Let it go and SEAS the day!
