Hello there, Lissette! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so happy to have you sail to us with another question.
My husband and I have a tradition of dining together at Palo every time we set sail. It provides the perfect date night atmosphere, with delicious food, outstanding service, and beautiful ocean views. I understand the desire to share this dining experience with your son, however, this restaurant is exclusive to guests ages 18 and up.
The good news is that there are plenty of fun things for your son to do if you choose to make a dining reservation at
Palo Steakhouse. The youth club,
Edge, is especially for guests 11-14 and is my tween son's favorite spot onboard any of Disney Cruise Line ships. Your son will find fun and engaging Counselors leading events and games and a variety of activities that are available at any time (video games, board games, crafts, and more).
If your son is interested in Edge, I encourage him to visit on the first afternoon of your sailing during an Open House. You can all check out the space together, and he can see what is offered there and take a peek at the upcoming schedule. There is usually an "icebreaker" type activity on the first night so that the tweens and teens can get to know one another and become friends quickly.
I hope you all have a wonderful time aboard the beautiful
Disney Wish! Please sail back to planDisney again if you have any additional questions for us. We'd love to help!
