Ahoy there, Brenda! Welcome aboard planDisney - I'm happy to have you alongside!
Pirate Night is easily one of the most popular events on any
Caribbean or
Bahamian Disney Cruise Line itinerary, and for good reason! A rip-roaring, keel-shaking, plunderin' good time can be had by all - capped-off by an incredible fireworks display at sea! It's enough to make even the pride of the King's Navy think about trading-in their colors for the thrill of the treasure hunt!
Now, I'm not one to brag, but to date, I've managed to escape from Pirate Night mostly unscathed! Ok...so that may be a bit of an exaggeration...
they've taken me captive on more than one occasion, but I guess my ability to translate for them makes me an easy target!
During my last run-in with them, I did manage to overhear one of the pirates saying that they, "won't be botherin' with any ships caught in their waters for less than four nights...plunderin's tiring, savvy?" After confirming with a Disney Cruise Line crew member, three-night sailings across the fleet are not currently scheduled to have a
Pirate Night. With all the new and exciting spaces, activities, and entertainment on the Disney Wish - and still more announcements to come - maybe the pirates think making a run on the newest
ship in the fleet may attract the wrong kind of attention!
Knowing we'll be safe from pirates taking over the main dining rooms on three-night itineraries, Guests on three-night sailings will have a chance to experience each of the
new restaurants coming to the Disney Wish! I know I wouldn't want anyone to miss dinner at 1923, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, or Worlds of Marvel - and who knows what exciting details we still have yet to learn!
Gosh now I'm hungry AND excited!
Since we still don't know exactly what will be part of the Disney Wish's offerings when it sets sail later this summer, if your plans are flexible and you would like to have the possibility of a Pirate Night, I'd definitely suggest looking at the four-night itineraries! I know I'll be keeping a weather eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Disney Cruise Line website for all the latest news and updates about the Disney Wish, and hoping to cross paths with the pirates again soon!
I hope that helps you chart a course as you continue planning, Brenda! Thank you so much for your question! If you dig up any more questions as information comes over the horizon, please drop me a line - we're always ready to have "all hands on deck" here at planDisney!
Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
