Hello, Traci! You’ve come to the right place for your Disney Cruise Line questions. Welcome to planDisney!
I understand your concerns, as I tend to be a worrier myself. When my son was younger, I was particularly anxious about him opening the verandah door and climbing overboard. Once I saw our stateroom, I realized I had nothing to worry about. The stateroom door is made of sturdy metal and has a substantial weight to it. There's also a lock located below the handle that provides an extra layer of security. If you have a verandah, the doors are equipped with latches positioned well out of reach of little hands.
Your Stateroom Host can provide a
portable crib or bed rails for your little one, and depending on your stateroom category, you might have an upper berth pull-down bed, which my son absolutely loves. It comes with a built-in bed rail and its own reading light. Whether it's the gentle movement of the ship, the refreshing sea breeze, or just all the excitement, my family always has the best night's sleep onboard.
As you prepare for your voyage, please be sure to download or make sure you have the latest update for the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. From the comfort of your home, you can explore your ship, reserve cruise activities, and countdown to your vacation. Once on board, the app becomes your go-to for quick access to daily activities, rotational dining details, and entertainment schedules. It’s your guide to the magic!
Traci, from one mom to another, you’ve got a friend in me! Feel free to drop by anytime if you have more questions.
SEAS the adventure!
