Ahoy there, Randy! It is so exciting that you'll be sailing aboard the
Disney Wish. You are in for an enchanting experience!
I will start by saying that whichever dinner seating time you choose, the schedule is designed so that you won't miss any of the amazing entertainment in the
Walt Disney Theatre. There are always two showings of the evening entertainment to accommodate both seating times. If you choose the early dinner time, you will dine first and enjoy the show after dinner. If you choose the later dining time, you will first enjoy the show, and then head to dinner. The Broadway-style productions are excellent. I especially love
Disney Seas the Adventure on the first night of the voyage. It's full of great music, wonderful choreography, and a heartfelt story.
As far as the
Pirate Night entertainment, it is held at times that work for both seating times as well. There are typically activities between dinner times and the fireworks are late in the evening, after the second dinner seating. Disney Cruise Line wants to make sure that everyone can enjoy their meal and also take part in the festivities!
I'd say that the best
dining time for your sailing crew will come down to personal preference. I used to always choose the main dining (earlier time) because our kids were asleep by the time the second dining (later time) would roll around. Now that my children are older, our preference is the second seating. We feel like we have more time to enjoy the afternoons either in port or on the ship before needing to get cleaned up for dinner. My kids don't complain about the need for an afternoon snack to tide them over for dinner, either!
Randi, please cruise back to planDisney if you have more questions. My pals and I would love to help you prepare for your adventure aboard the Disney Wish!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
