We’ll be on Disney Wish, and doing a WDW resort stay after the cruise. Is it possible to leave a small travel kettle with DCL on embarkation day for the duration of the cruise, and then have it returned to us at the end of the cruise on disembarkation day?

    Welcome to planDisney Sandra!

A combination land/sea vacation sounds magical! It won't be quite as sad disembarking the Disney Wish knowing that you are heading to Walt Disney World for a few days of fun.

Any prohibited items will be kept at the port and may be claimed upon your return to the port at the end of your cruise. However, please be aware that your travel kettle (or any other cooking/small appliance) is not allowed to be used in Walt Disney World hotels due to safety reasons. You will find that your room will have a coffee maker if that helps, and you are welcome to get hot water or use the microwave ovens in your resort's food court.

I am sorry to share the news about your travel kettle, but I do not want you to bring it along only to find you will not be permitted to use it either on your Disney Cruise or in your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room. The good news is that by leaving your kettle at home, you have a bit more space in your suitcase!

Wishing you a vacation full of magic! Let the countdown to the fun begin.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
