Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’ve got your Online Check-In all squared away and now you’re deep into that “double-check the packing list” phase as your sailing on
the beautiful Disney Wish gets closer.
It’s funny that you ask this question because my crew and I were sailing on the Wish just a few weeks ago and can you guess which assembly station we were assigned? That’s right, it was station “O.” Talk about a small Disney world moment! I know a lot of us like to peek ahead at our station location because nobody wants to picture themselves melting like a villain in the tropical sun. So here’s the good news I was happy to discover myself, station “O” is located inside the
elegant 1923 dining room.
And let me tell you, that’s not a bad place to report for duty. The 1923 restaurant is themed around the year the Walt Disney Company was founded, and it’s filled with beautiful artwork and nods to classic Disney animation. Instead of standing outside wondering when you can head to the sail away party, you’ll be inside surrounded by Disney history, almost like stepping into a behind-the-scenes moment from the early days of animation. Not a bad way to kick off your adventure if you ask me.
Since I know you’re probably in full planning mode and thinking about what to pack, you might consider bringing along some fancy attire for your optional dress-up night that is currently scheduled for Day 2 of your sailing, after a
sun-soaked day at Castaway Cay. Then, on Day 3, you will want to be ready for
Pirate Night after exploring the beaches at
Lookout Cay. Pirate Night is always one of those evenings where the whole ship seems to transform, and before you know it, you’re humming pirate tunes and wondering if you should start practicing your best “Arrr!”
I hope this helps you feel a little more prepared and maybe even a bit more excited knowing exactly where you’ll be heading on embarkation day. With station “O” tucked inside such a beautiful location, you’re off to a pretty magical start before the ship even leaves the dock.
