Ahoy, Michele!
Welcome to
planDisney and thank you for bringing your question to us. As a self-proclaimed Disney foodie myself, I’ll be more than happy to help answer any questions you may have.
I understand that securing a dining reservation can be a little difficult depending on the day, time, and party size.
Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance at
select restaurants. It does sound like you attempted to secure your reservations then,
Hakuna Matata…it means no worries. Michele, I’ve been in the same situation as you, and let me tell you, don’t give up! I have a few suggestions that may help.
The first is to always check for dining reservations, even up to the day of your visit. The easiest and quickest way to do so is by using the
Disneyland mobile app. It’s the perfect way to check while you are on the go with a little bit of downtime. You may also want to consider splitting your party into two different groups. My family traveled as a group of 8 and we ended up scheduling 2 reservations for groups of 4 instead of the full 8. Once we arrived
for our reservations, we let the Cast Members know that we were all together so they did our best to sit us next to each other.
You do have time to secure a reservation, so don’t give up yet, Michele. Sending you all the
Pixie Dust!
