Hello, We are going to Disney in 3 weeks. We have a 5 yr girl & a 3 yr boy who loves Mickey. I saw that you spoke highly of Chef Mickey's, would you recommend this over Garden Grill at Epcot dinner? We are looking for a character meal with Mickey.

    Hi Tracie

I have a 5-year old boy and a 3-year old boy, both of whom love Mickey as well. If you could squeeze in two character meals, I'd say hit both Chef Mickey's and The Garden Grill. But, if you choose between the two, I would pick Chef Mickey's.

Every vacation, my boys insist on eating at Chef Mickey's - for breakfast, dinner, or both. The energy at Chef Mickey's is incredible. My boys not only enjoy the huge buffet, but their smiles shine when Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and Minnie stop by the table to pose for pictures and sign autographs. I don't want to spoil any surprises, but start practicing your napkin waiving skills now.

That being said, you can't go wrong with The Garden Grill either. What my boys love about The Garden Grill is that the restaurant rotates, a feat our kitchen at home can't match. And they love seeing Chip 'n' Dale and friends at the restaurant. Every time I've eaten at The Garden Grill, Chip 'n' Dale have always been accompanied by Mickey and Pluto. But because characters are subject to change, there could be a chance Mickey may not make a meal at The Garden Grill.

Either restaurant you choose (cough, my vote is for Chef Mickey's, cough, or both, cough), you and your family are sure to enjoy.
