I am going to Disney in 2 weeks with my 15 mo old. We wil be going to the parks for a few of the days but I am also interested in some of the other activites we could participate in outside the parks. Any suggestions?

    Hi Mary Beth!

I suggest going down to Downtown Disney.  There's a lot of sights and sounds to keep a 15 month old interested.  The last time I was there, there was also a train (very small track) that you could ride with your baby.  You can also catch a boat from there to several Walt Disney World Resort hotels which is a nice way to occupy an hour or so.

There's also a kids play area at both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach that you both might enjoy.  I know my children enjoyed it when they were younger.  However, I don't know if that would keep you occupied more than a few hours.

The most fun I ever saw a child of that age have at Walt Disney World was my cousin's baby.  We were staying at the Beach Club and her baby (and my then 5 year old) could spend the entire day at the sand island at Stormalong Bay.  Stormalong Bay is the pool shared between the Beach Club and the Yacht Club.  It's absolutely amazing with real sand at the bottom of the pool.  One of the areas is a sand island surrounded by water.  The kids were making sand castles and just having a blast.  My cousin and I could not get our kids to leave.

Have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
