We are going to Disney for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's graduation. Is there anything special or a surprise that we might be able to do for her on Saturday, 6/7? Get to park early? Get to be in parade? She is going to UCF! Annual Pass Gift!

    Hi Alessandra,

Welcome to planDisney! First and foremost, a huge congratulations to your daughter on her high school graduation and for continuing her journey at the University of Central Florida! Go Knights, Charge On! What a special time for your family, and I can’t think of a better place to celebrate than Walt Disney World Resort. And to top it off, being an Annual Passholder? That’s practically having a key to the kingdom! From Passholder discounts to exclusive merchandise and the flexibility to visit the parks throughout the year, it’s a fantastic way to experience even more magic.

With so much to talk about to make her graduation weekend unforgettable, let’s dive right in. If you’re looking for something special, the Enchanting Extras Collection is filled with unique experiences perfect for a milestone celebration. A great place to start is with a Capture Your Moment photo session, a private 20-minute session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer at a location like Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s a perfect way to commemorate this big moment with some stunning portraits.

If your graduate loves fireworks (and who doesn’t?), consider reserving a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party or an even more unique Fireworks Cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Both offer a magical view of Happily Ever After and an experience that truly feels like a celebration.

For something extra special, think about a dinner she’ll never forget. Cinderella’s Royal Table inside the castle is the epitome of enchantment, or if you’re looking for a more refined vibe, consider Narcoossee’s with views of the lagoon, Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada Pavilion, or Chefs de France in EPCOT. A personal favorite of mine is a perfectly timed dinner reservation at California Grill. The view of the fireworks from the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort is something she’ll remember forever.

And if she’s up for something different, check out the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom or Wild Africa Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Both offer unforgettable behind-the-scenes experiences that make you feel like a true VIP.

Another fun idea: keep an eye out for graduation-themed Mickey ears! They’re popular this time of year and can be tricky to find, but you never know, you just might stumble across them and make a little wish-upon-a-star magic come true.

And don’t forget to stop by any Guest Relations location or the front desk of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel to pick up a complimentary celebration button. Cast Members love recognizing milestones like this, and it’s a sweet way for your daughter to feel extra special all weekend long.

Wishing you and your family the most magical graduation celebration. If you have any more questions or need help adding to your plans, come back and see me here at planDisney!
